CMAC Membership

CMAC was established in 2014 with the administrative support of the CCCE, and has been a powerhouse for the Construction Management program at Cal Poly to grow up as one of the best construction management programs in the country. CMAC has played a pivotal role in advancing construction education by providing dedicated partnerships and continuous financial support ever since its inception. Thank you for your interest in becoming a member of the Construction Management Advisory Council (CMAC). Prior to completing your CMAC membership registration, we encourage you to review the new membership structure, outlined below.

Founder Membership: Any individual who was a member of the original Industry Advisory Committee as of May 2014 is considered a Founder CMAC Member. This individual will be appreciated, and their organization will be invited to participate in the following opportunities:

  1. One seat on the Board of Directors in perpetuity
  2. Individual Membership and Mustang Membership with the highest Priority Registration1
  3. Two CM career fairs (Fall and Winter) with Priority Registration1 with payment

Legacy Membership: Any individual or corporation with a significant donation history, as reviewed and determined by the CMAC Executive Committee and Construction Management Department Head, is eligible to join the CMAC as a Legacy Member. The decision to grant Legacy Membership will be made based on a comprehensive review conducted by the CMAC Executive Committee and Construction Management Department Head. This individual or individuals will be appreciated, and their organization will be invited to participate in the following opportunities:

  1. One seat on the Board of Directors in perpetuity, including an invitation to appoint two representatives as members of CMAC
  2. Legacy Member will receive the benefits included in the Individual Membership and Mustang Membership with highest Priority Registration1
  3. Two CM career fairs (Fall and Winter) with Priority Registration1 with payment

      Mustang Membership – $7,000 (Maximum 10 Companies): One selected representative will be assigned to join the council and is eligible to be elected to the Board of Directors. This individual will be appreciated, and their organization will be invited to participate in the following Mustang Level opportunities:

      1. Two CM career fairs (Fall and Winter) with Priority Registration1
      2. Two departmental recruitment sessions with Priority Registration1
      3. Two seats at CMAC general meetings
      4. Two seats at the Sigma Lambda Chi dinner
      5. Invitation to CMAC Mixers
      6. Opportunity to participate in the Carpenter’s Apprenticeship Program
      7. Opportunity to partner with the CM Department for the Diversity and Inclusion Initiatives
      8. Opportunity to partner with the CM Department for the Student Engagement Programs
      9. Opportunity to reserve two interview rooms
      10. Company logo in the interview room
      11. Company logo at the CCCE website (ccce.calpoly.edu)
      12. Company literature in the main recruiting room2
      13. Opportunity to host CMAC Mixers

      Gold Membership – $5,000 (Maximum 30 companies): One selected representative will be assigned to join the council and is eligible to be elected to the Board of Directors. This individual will be appreciated, and their organization will be invited to participate in the following Gold Level opportunities:

      1. Two CM career fairs (Fall and Winter) with Priority Registration1
      2. One departmental recruitment session with Priority Registration1
      3. One seat at CMAC general meetings
      4. Invitation to CMAC Mixers
      5. Opportunity to participate in the Carpenter’s Apprenticeship Program
      6. Opportunity to partner with the CM Department for the Diversity and Inclusion Initiatives
      7. Opportunity to partner with the CM Department for the Student Engagement Programs
      8. Company logo at the CCCE website (ccce.calpoly.edu)

      Green Membership – $3,000 (Maximum 20 companies): One selected representative will be assigned to join the council and is eligible to be elected to the Board of Directors. This individual will be appreciated, and their organization will be invited to participate in the following Green Level opportunities:

      1. Two CM career fairs (Fall and Winter) with Regular Registration
      2. A seat at CMAC general meetings
      3. Opportunity to participate in the Carpenter’s Apprenticeship Program
      4. Opportunity to partner with the CM Department for the Diversity and Inclusion Initiatives
      5. Opportunity to partner with the CM Department for the Student Engagement Programs
      6. Invitation to CMAC Mixers
      7. Company logo at the CCCE website (ccce.calpoly.edu)

      Individual Membership – $200: Any individual and Construction Management alumni interested in being part of the advisory council

      1. Eligible to be elected to the Board of Directors
      2. Invitation to CMAC Mixers
      3. One seats at CMAC general meetings
      4. Annual Construction Innovator magazine free of charge
      5. Exclusive LinkedIn networking group

        ► Current Construction Management graduates will receive up to 5 years of free membership

        1 Priority Registration – It allows to register early so eligible partners can get a preferred date of the recruiting sessions before they fill up. To be eligible, companies must participate in the Mustang or Gold level partnership.
