DESCRIPTION:Are you interested in exploring energy access\, inequality\, and social justice issues affecting Indigenous communities and using renewable energy to resolve those issues? \nSkip the Grid is a service trip where 20 interdisciplinary Cal Poly students travel to the Navajo Nation in Arizona\, New Mexico\, and Utah to install solar panels\, lights\, batteries\, and refrigeration systems in homes that lack access to electricity. \nThis past year\, our student team partnered with SOLV Energy and Heart of America to bring electricity to 40 families and more than 100 children in just three days. \nMake an impact.\nLearn hands-on construction techniques.\nExpand your perspective on the world.
